Throughout 2012, Cofrentes NPP generated 9,376 million kWh, which represents close to 4.9% of the national energy production (under the ordinary system) and 82% of IBERDROLA’s production in the Spanish Autonomous Community of Valencia.

In percentages, the Plant has been running at 97.7% of its total capacity, operating with generator coupled to the energy grid for 8,686 hours a year.

The annual production attained by Cofrentes NPP is capable of providing virtually all of the domestic energy consumed by the 5 million families living in the Community of Valencia.

Environmentally speaking, the benefits of operation are equally significant, avoiding the emission of approximately 6.5 million tons of CO2.
